Fuel evaporating out the carburettor? My Strombergs had a valve for closing off the bowl vent when at idle, or was it the other way round?

For anyone with Strombergs, don't ever use carburettor cleaner or anything similar on these. The diaphrames get instantly destroid. Don't ask...
