Yeah, my car was going through filters weekly for a while, and now it's changed to more than a month on a filter, and i've gone through probably 10+ filters since I've had the car. (two years) When I first read your post, it immediately reminded me of when my fuel filters were getting clogged... And also of my carburator(DGV) being messed up and having the choke stuck partially on... FWIW
