What year is your 240 and what year did the B234 ECU come

It was a 928. A 928 is a 928

Are you still using that ECU?
No, I have quite a few ECUs and I am using a 951

Did you just cross your fingers and hoped

No, just plug and to hell with it. I have tons of ECUs and you can't hurt a 240.
Wiring diagrams are way too much work.
