Shift indicator light replacement 900 1992

I decided to tackle this myself late last year. I got a little info from these posts to help the in the disassembly process:

Unfortunately after removing everything and getting the shifter exposed I was unable to figure out how to get at the light. I ended up putting everything back together and just put up without the light. If you can figure it out, please please please let everybody know how it's done!
