Thanks to all of you for your suggestions. Bruce, thanks. I looked at the wrong 700/900 FAQ section, the Electrical Ignition System instead of the one you suggested, Engine Tune up & Performance: Symptoms. There’s a lot to read there. I’ll get the RPM sender checked out. Milk Dud: my battery is the correct size, but thanks for the idea. Chris: I’ve cleaned the battery cables, but thanks for the suggestion. Tom: No, the ’90 has not suddenly died on me, but my ’92 has! That’s another post on this forum. Thanks, everyone!
