Sorted 200 1977

Well that's the easiest repair I've ever done on my car. I was 0.2 Volts engine off, rising to an electrifying 11.6 volts with the car running. I crawled under the car and noticed that the ground wire from the Alt to the block was about a turn loose. Tightened that up, jump started it again and took another reading at 13.6 volts.

It should be added that I actually paid a professional to install the reconditioned alt. I'll have to have words with them about that. In my case it didn't really matter, but most of their customers wouldn't have known what to look for. From now on it's back to DIY only.
