I'm not too certain about the 4 valve heads and the possible damage by collision. I would rotate the piston to TDC and make certain that all 4 valves were up, then put compressed air in the Spark Plug hole. if the cylinder will not hold the air, you will hear where it is escaping from. If you have already installed new valves and know that they are closing, look at your belt timing.

If all else fails, put a Chevy V-8 in and forget about it!
