I have a 1984 240 wagon that won't start.
It all started with a short that I fixed that had been draining the battery. Then I did a very stupid thing and accidently did the "unthinkable" and connected the terminals wrong when I jumped the battery. I immediately realized what I did and switched the terminals. I had them connected wrong for a few seconds.
The car has not started since.
I have been told that the ECU and fuel pump relays were most likely damaged. I was able to find a used ECU and some relays but it did not fix the problem.
What else should I be checking? My first thought is the alternator.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Eric
