Not a lot of water - less than 1/2 cup. And I believe it drained out first. I would think that it would have sat on top of the oil-not as good as if it had settled immediately to the bottom. The gear oil was not chocolatey, me surmising that it hadn't been driven subsequently.
The only way I see it coming in was if the axle were submerged and it came in through the vent/pipette on the top side of the axle tube. Other ideas?
I guess I could pull the axles and check those bearings. I really don't want to pull the differential gears to check/replace bearings unless I have real indications that I need to do so.
