I guess that could be it, but I don't want it to be. I'm hoping for something easier to fix. I have the parts to correct that problem. I just don't want to deal with it. Please tell me it's something simpler (o.k., it ain't that bad, but I'm kinda tired of the projects on this car and want to get back to my own). Mine is a '71 164 I've been trying to put a back end on and do some other things with following a bad rear-end accident a few years ago. By-the-way, the police said that the fact that my daughter was driving a Volvo probably saved her life. The person who hit her was changing lanes while adjusting the a/c and hit my daughter, who was stopped waiting for the light to turn green, going about 35 mph. There were no skid marks.
Thanks,
Jim Hampton
