The R cam might give you more max high-speed power but the D-cam will give
you a good improvement (especially if the C cam is worn) and much better
driveability.
You might find it cheaper to locate a good B20 engine and change the whole
thing. An E or F engine will have bigger valves, better cam and will bolt
right in. Injector ports can be plugged with dished 7/8" freeze plugs.
