How do you get to the high mile marks on these cars

While you're at it, rustproof it. Get it to the carwash on a hot, dry day and do a really thorough job under the fenders and all the other places you don't usually see. Let it sit in the sun for a day or two to thoroughly dry out.
Then spray all the crevices and crannies with raw--repeat, RAW--linseed oil.
The raw oil will stay malleable, and will not interfere with nut and bolt removal when necessary--it's (or at least, it used to be) the primary component in all the commercial rustproofing sprays. Make sure when you're done that all the drain holes are open again. A good sized paint store would be the best place to look for the oil; figure on about 1 1/2 gallons.
