Yes it does, the steel panel runs flat from the tailgate forward, which leaves plenty of space where the rear seat footwell would otherwise have been. I've got room to carry a set of jackstands under there, plus a whole lot of other junk. The space was full of power cable when I got the car, cos it had been dad's camera van.

I also have the usual cargo space under the boot floor, where the optional reward facing bench would otherwise fold down. I should get some more detailed photos up.
