M47 Reverse Contact Switch 200 1987

Just to give my two cents worth. My mechanic and me tackled this particular job a few months ago (just after we replaced the tranny-he forgot to replace the back up light switch (reverse contact switch). To do the job without dropping the tranny, we had to loosen the crossmember and use a pry bar to move the tranny a bit to the right (passenger's side-enough to get a hand in there). I believe the socket is 22mm, but cannot remember for sure. The re-installation process was the same. Use a giant pry bar and move the tranny about 3/4"-1" to the right (passenger's side). We then bolted the crossmember back into place.

Todd :-)
