Fuel Delivery Issue 200 1982

i suppose if the main pump ran without benefit of the tank pump long enough, then, yes, it could seize up. usually takes ALOT longer than a few minutes. weeks or months in my experience. and performance is bad enough right away when the tank pump dies, it gets discovered. had an 83 turbo today with just that. ran ok when the tank was full, ran poor when the tank is below half. maybe the reason the first main pump died is why you put a tank pump in recently. good luck, chuck.
