B230FT an interference engine? 900 1994

Even if the regular engine were, which it isn't in the US market, the FT would likely still not be- it has lower compression than the NA engine.

You'll be just fine- new belt and you'll be on your way. You do want to check that the cam turns freely- once in a long while these engines will seize cams, though I've never seen a late-model one do it.
