Storing an engine - how? 200

Don't do an oil-change running - drain it and with no ignition and gas, turn the engine with new synthetic oil, "wash" out any old oil and finally drain the engine again - oil in sump doesnt do anything good, but a good oil-film inside engine is good.

Loosen all valves so no valve is open - unscrew plugs, pour some synthetic oil in each champer and turn engine by hand a few rounds. Insert plug again to "seal" champers.

Flush cooling system with clean water, flush with cleaning product for cooling system and fill up with antifreeze (?) alone.

Plug it up, wrap oil-wet cloth around manifold out- and intake and store the engine a foot or so from ground, don't waste you stand for that! It will maybe hang there for 10 years - you allready have 2 driving Volvo's!

:-)
