ECC Clarification 700 1987

Steve
thanks for the reply, as you can see in Southern California there really isnt a use for the heater, but since i am going up the mountain ill need it, the FAQ on this issue has many suggestions but isnt very descriptive when it comes to the diff of the 740 and 760 climate control issues. Im going to pick up an aftermarket Heater Valve today and isntall it as a preventative measure anyways and see if it works better, i took the car out this morning and i did seem to get some heat, but stil the vents on top will not produce heat, though cool air or A/C air will be produced from top vent's im confused on that one.

Ive put my ear up to the vac pump's and hear something going on in there so ill assume it itself is working.

The one way check valve is normally located on the top of the intake manifold or in the general area.
