73-74 odometer quits 140-160

Yeah, been in there fixed one. I think the little white gear on the side, visible easily when you remove the unit, splits and loses it's grip on the shaft. I wired mine back together and notched an extra spline in the shaft, and pushed it back on.


I think you can buy replacement gears, though.

Put it on a drill and watch what spins and what doesn't.
