What did the curb do to my Volvo?

I was in a parking lot today and did something really stuiped with my 88 244. There was a Truck behind my car, so i decided that I was going to go forward. Well, there was one of those paring lot curbs there and my right front tire went over it. Well after getting the car back off I noticed that there were to dime sice dents in the in the area that I circuled area. I thnink the ara by the question mark is in normal condition. Will this cause any long term problems in my brick? I hope this is not going to restrict the flow of exhaust through the pipe causeing engene damage. What do you think. I will always back out of parking spots now! I would hate to replace this part if I don't have to, just want to make sure that I won't decrease engene life etc if I leave it that way.
Thanks and happy bricking.
