Actually, I like the fiberglass/epoxy approach -- it's stronger than the plastic, and I'm experienced with it -- I work with boats a lot, and have for a long time (it's my "other" passion, for the summer; Volvos are for the winter projects). It's just time consuming to do it and make it come out looking right; but I'm working on it.
