It's been 20K since a tune up. Wires maybe as much as 140K. As for the Italian tune up I guess I can't rule out carbon, but i am not a timid driver. I had a value job 2 years ago and I think the usually observant mechanic would have noted excessive carbon- but maybe not. Pinging goes away in rain and high moisture.
