Alignment after replacing ball joint? 200 1988

Actually, I would pull outboard on the BJ's before tightening the A-arm bolts... the car can use as much caster angle as you can give it.

Theoretically, you should have the alignment checked after doing BJ's, but changing them does not disturb the the toe-in. That's the only adjustment most front-end shops do these days, so as long as the car doesn't wander or pull, you should be OK. However - after doing struts, BJ's, adding IPD bars and replacing worn A-arm bushings, I neglected to check the alignment on my kid's 244, and was 'rewarded' with two worn-to-the-steel cords front tires within a few weeks. Guess the old parts were really shot.

I have never replaced the strut anchor bolts when doing BJ's. As long as they aren't corroded or stripped, they should be OK.
