B234f OBD code 241. It's back!! 700

I've posted about this before and got some good suggestions but Still getting code 241 in port 6 stating EGR problem. It happens intermittently. Might go 5 miles or might go 200 miles but keeps coming back. Frustrating!! I have removed and cleaned the valve and pipes. Has anyone had any success curing this code? I'm thinking of changing the exhaust temp sensor. EGR valve and controller are too expensive new. Will look for used. Hate to just do trial and error changes--time consuming and expensive. Car runs well but gets less than great mpg. Very clean emission test. Thanks in advance. Mike
