Aftermarket keyless entry systems are very affordable. I installed one in my '81 245 last month. Very handy, but since mine had no actuator in the driver's door--only the switch to lock/unlock the other four doors--I had to install an aftermarket actuator to make it work right.

The only one I could find with two remotes (versus one) was a keyless entry/alarm at JC Whitney, less than $40. It's kinda funny to have a $200 Volvo with an alarm on it.
