I'm nearly done fixing up this car (still learning about volvos), and I think the white smoke coming from my exhaust has to do with my messed up pcv system. either way, I know It needs to be fixed... Right now, my pcv system consists of a single hose leading from the black oil trap box into a v-trap, then one hose goes from the v-trap straight into an empty oil container with a tiny hole in the top (the crappy catch can). The other hose coming from the v-trap is capped off. From what I've heard there should be a hose going from there to my pcv nipple on the intake manifold. On the manifold, I have two nipples that are capped off, so I don't know which one is the pcv nipple. Also, there is no hose going across to the intake/turbo area, and from what little I know, that is wrong. (The air box has been replaced with aftermarket intake, btw) Does anyone know how its supposed to be set up, or do you know of a web page or something that explains the right way to do it, preferrably with pictures? My stupid haynes manual doesnt say anything about the pcv system, otherwise i'd have fixed it already ><
thanks
