Swap B21 for a B230, anyone done this?

I have a 78 - 244, with a good body and interior but a bad motor.
I also have a doner car with a good B230 (87 240). I am contemplating pulling the B21 and using the B230.
1 - has anyone done this swap?
2 - I have a GT guage speedo(for the 78 wiring), will it work with the 87 wiring?
3 - do I have to swap the entire harness?

Time is not an issue.
