Reverse Lights - Now what? 200

To pass inspection, mechanic fished the wiring from the traany/shifter, rerouted thru to the dash and installed to an added switch.
Go into reverse, turn on the reverse lights, forward, turn the lights out.

Now if you get lots of responses, "Many hands make light work".
