Well, I checked it out today, and no solution so far. The problem is persistent. Even after 85 miles on the road, it still occured, and fiddling with/removing and reattaching the ground wire seemed to do nothing. The problem still occurs whenever the engine falls below the 1200RPM range, though sometimes rising as high as 1400. As usual, it will abruptly jump into action at that point, and put (what appears to be, at least) a ton of stress on the belt. So right now, while it seems drivable, I'm really worried about longevity of the belt and such. Anything else that could be at fault here? Bad voltage regulator or something?
