Volvo not meeting its potential 700 1988

A poor fuel pressure regulator can cause random stalling, as the engine won't get enough (or too much) fuel.

Lets not rule out an intake leak either ... a simple broken vacuum hose, leaky intake manifold gasket, blown turbo hose, etc. can really reek havoc on the air/fuel ratio.
