the 3517641 is still running fine in my 88 i have also noticed that it starts quicker and the kick down seems to engage sooner with this module. now that said i dont know if my original was on the edge of failure before i went to the bone yard and i pushed it over the edge when i reconnected it, or if i altered something in the cars computer by putting a different icu/icm in,, both my backups work for now, and need to find some metelyne cloride to remove the potting compound from the 1537308 it looks like a capicitor may have gotten hot as the potting on top of it is cracked(may just be age) and the connectors interface with the p.c. board looks fine, no cold solder joints that i can see.
