Timing Belt & Clutch Remove Engine ?? 700 1989

I would not pull both out as an assembly, especially if you have access to a lift. The trans comes out real easy and I always found that doing the t-belt/water pump was much eaiser done in the car as it is at about waist level anyway and once again if you have a lift you can make it waist level. You are correct in that the struts ect are done as a separate group. I also would change the front engine seal when you are in there as it is not that much more work and also make sure that the breather system is clean and functioning o.k.
