It's a Torx head screw, and unless you're unusually rough with things, you cannot blow the airbag. IF you are really worried about it, simply disconnect a battery cable.
There's not really any risk of it but be advised the airbag wiring connects through a white plastic reel, kinda like a tape measure. Spring loaded wires that wind up around the wheel, right around the steering shaft behind the wheel. IF your cell phone wires are wrapped into this, be careful getting them out.
