In the fuse box, behidn the ashtray. You have to remove the coin tray, or more likely in your earlier car, the amp/graphic equalizer thing above the ashtray. Then you can get at the fusebox and the relays that are in the forward part of it. The relay is a 1X2 rectangular plastic box, in the left front of the fuse box.
See the 700/900 FAQ (pulldown menu Features above) and look for "Relay Locations".
Once you can get to it, just wiggle it loose and pull it straight out. New unit is PN 3523608, and they run $20-40 from different suppliers. Also see the post right after this one (View all in RWD forum) and follow what they're doing. Your car has the hall sensor vs. their crank sensor but otherwise very similar problem.
