Dean,

When it comes to later model wagons(1990-) the 740/940 are basically the same. Having a 87 745 and a 95 944T I can say I very much like both and though there are more diffences between those years and body styles, they are very,very similar in design, performance, ease of repair, etc. If you know your way around one you pretty much know them all.
