. . . I saw one Volvo 240 manual listed for more than $5.00. The majority were at a starting price of about $2, with no bids.
There are three points worth mentioning here. First, you're not going to find a huge demand for manuals, at least outside of the ones for rare models (GT, 262C, 264TE, and maybe some V6s and turbos). I think the practice of manual collecting is mostly a "what can I find at the junkyard today?" exercise than a "let me get something shipped to me from AUSTRALIA!"
Second, you're out of line by referring a Brickboarder to eBay in response to his reply. That's the point I've got the biggest issue with, that you were a dick to the guy who responded. If nothing else, HearToTemptYou has been registered on the board for a full year and a half longer than you (RLC, you've been here all of three months), and I've seen a heck of a lot more informative, useful, and valuable posts from him than from you. HearToTemptYou has more experience, and he was pointing out some common knowledge that there doesn't really seem to be a huge demand for these manuals.
Third, YOUR POST WAS A CLASSIFIED. If you had adhered to this rule of the board (not sure if it's unspoken or not, but people seem to figure it out after spending a while here), then this confrontation wouldn't have happened. You're selling something, and though it's a somewhat unique offer, it's nothing special that warrants a post. Whether HearToTemptYou is right about the price or not, you're in the wrong for posting something here.
