B20E with no spark 1800

Bob;

If spark was OK before points were replaced, the first thing one has to suspect is the last thing which was done!

If in the process of installing the points, you got some of the insulators or hardware wrong, or connection to the condensor wrong, the points may be opening, but in fact the connection to chassis is not breaking. To check for this, disconnect the points wire from the coil negative connection, and check with an Ohmmeter...when the points are open, there should be NO connection to the chassis...when points are closed, you should show a connection to chassis. Coils fail, but rarely...

Remember, in normal operation, when the points are closed, current builds in the coil primary, when the points open, collapsing magnetic field in primary induces a hi V in secondary...Voila!

Good Hunting!
