Ignition control unit: Should I replace it myself, or take it in? 200 1982

Hello,

I agree with what others have said that the ICU's on the 82's are bulletproof. I sent you the post with the info about the hidden connector on the 82's that prevent a good spark. There is a quick check to prove if that is the problem. Connect a wire from the + terminal of the battery to the brown wire on the ignition coil (pin #15). If it starts and runs this way there is a bad connection on the connector in question. Hope this helps.
