Turbo Identification

Not sure what the "tube that runs from the turbo to the wastegate" is, is it a vacuum related tube? It sounds like it's the actuator rod...(??) Can you identify the turbo's that you have from the pictures listed? The pictures are of OEM units that came with the car when new.

My '89 765T, which I recently did an engine swap on, had the Mitsubishi TD05 turbo as original equipment. The '94 B230FT replacement engine came with the "later" TD04 turbo.

If you look at the picture of the "later" TD04 you'll see the CBV/Blow off valve is integrated into the turbo and sits at an angle. It sounds like you know this already but the vacuum hose that connects to it runs to one of the nipples on the intake (as on my '89). Alternativly, as is on my '94 945T, the vacuum hose is "T"ed into another vacuum hose which ultimately ends at the intake manifold.

Good luck with the swap, tons of fun.
