Bleeding the fuel system question 200 1986

Filter should be good for 100K minimum, in my opinion.

Pulling fuses to depressurize fuel system is a myth (as you discovered).

Fuse 4 will disable the tank pump, but that won't stop the engine.

Fuse 6 is not as labeled on fuse cover (on US cars). Consider it a spare. It isn't wired to anything.

That leaves the 25 AMP blade fuse. Pull it and the whole FI system shuts down immediately, still pressurized.

To depressurerize, loosen the rail fitting and quickly wrap a rag around it till the fuel flow stops.
