Intermittent hot start problem 700 1989

I had what sounds to be the identical problem in my 1990 740 GL Wagon with 130K, and my fix after alot of the same (checking grounds,starter, ignition switch, etc.) was replacement of the neutral safety switch. Couldn't see any problem with it, but when the switch got hot after a run, one of the contacts wasn't contacting -- wait 10 minutes, it would start. A huge pain in the butt. Now the car is dependable.
