shift is locked and the window switches not working 700 1992

The shift-lock overide is at the base of the shifter, beneath the "brushes." It's a little hook that has to be lifted up and forward. The owner's manual has a pretty good picture of it. For me, cleaning the crud off the fuse was enough to fix the problem (exact same situation...grocery store parking lot a couple of weeks ago). Hope it's an easy fix.
