Taifoon, did you ever sort out the Brake Booster problem?

There are two different Brake Boosters. Girling and ATE. I replaced mine with the other and the brakes didn't work, too well. I had the opposite problem, the pedal would go all the way to the floor.

I actually overhauled my old (black, Girling) Brake Booster. The Diaphragm was not torn, but the large rear bakelite plastic bowl the diaphragm fits over was cracked.

The hardest part was getting back together. I brought it to a shop that overhauls them and they did it for $10.
