Increasing '93 240 reliability. Most bang for the buck.

To see if the crank pulley has slipped any, before you take it off, line up the cam sprocket timing mark (upper cover removed) and view the timing light mark on the damper also lines up with the zero TDC mark on the lower cover.

If not, replace it.

If it does, inspect the rubber ring between its halves for signs of deterioration. I know that is vague language...
