444 parts interchangability

I am building a 444 to run in the LaCarrera. I want to go with 4 wheel disk brakes, higher diff. ratio. 1800 engine and 4 speed. I am looking for parts that are interchangable. I would like to pull the suspension, engine & gearbox out of a doner car. Is it possible to drop the complete front suspension from a 122/140 etc. into the 444?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
