I've often seen a mixture of nuts and clips. Often the nuts are at the ends of a piece of trim, with the clips inbetween. Sometimes the whole thing is clipped. Occasionally (some years on the 1800 tailfins) it all seems to be nuts. Personally I'd check before prying.
