Well the gears are helical, not straight cut gears, so just be careful when you do it and rotate the crank a tiny amount as you push the cam gear on. If you just stuff it straight on you run the risk of shaving it, if you rotate the crank by hand just enough to keep things aligned but not shaving you should be alright.
