Is it under the car, behind the driver's seat? On a 240, that's where the main fuel pump and filter are located, in a tray. The filter is the larger cylinder.

I'm assuming yours is the same. If so, you need to try and pinpoint exactly where the leak is. If you dismantle anything there, replace the fuel filter. It's only $10 or so from FCP Groton.
