Head gaskets - opinions on installation?

No cement or other stuff: dry only. This is standard practice in AL:FE dual metal engines in which the differential rates of expansion between head and block would otherwise tear the gasket apart if it could not slip. That's also why graphite-coated or rubber-coated gaskets are very popular.
