I know I'd have to re-anneal it before a re-use, but AFAIK it comes annealed and soft when new.
I took it apart and didn't see anything unusual. No really obvious blown out spots, no marks. I guess the drive was too short to really do moch of anything. I'm thinking pehaps I put a little too much sealer on, and I let it sit too long before torquing down fully. I didn't damage it taking the head off, so I could use it again, but I ordered a conventional gasket from Kgtrimning and I'm going to use that one this time. Maybe the next time the head comes off I'll try the copper one again after annealing it. And use less sealer and torque it fully immediately. And possibly lay a loop of small stainless wire around each cylinder too...
